We took the cover photos today and they turned out good. I hope to have a cover to share with you in a few weeks. The photo shoot reminded me that it’s important to know your limits and resist the temptation to DIY everything, especially something as important as the book cover. Go with the best you can afford — no one is going to see your brilliant prose if the cover screams “amateur” to them. (P.S. Why is there a picture of a daisy with this post? That’s what mystery writers call a clue.)
